What to expect:
Stay and ride in our relaxed, no-pressure environment while enjoying
the use of many ranch facilities including our covered, lighted arena,
large 150' all weather arena and natural trail course. J-K Ranch
Equestrian Retreats are designed to be relaxing and enjoyable, with no
pressure.
We concentrate on horsemanship and horse handling to help you
define your horsemanship, versus teaching riders and horses through
typical 'horse training' methods.
Whether you are a first-time rider or more advanced, our 'coaching'
is customized for you.
There are many other things to enjoy at the J-K too! A fishing
lake, historical features and extraordinary views. Experience the
ranch life, centered around open space and a variety of livestock.
You get to choose what and how much you'd like to do...relaxing,
experiential, educational.
Food and Dining at the JbarK
Dining is in itself an experience at the
JbarK.
Enjoy healthy meals in a
comfortable family ranch style setting.
Other activities, things to do and area
ammenities:
Many of our Customized and Personalized Ranch Retreat guests like to
take a day or two of their stay to ski at one of the nearby ski areas,
or tour the surrounding area.

JbarK Ranch
House and Accommodations
Enjoy the magic of the
California style ranch house which is embellished with collectibles and
relics including some very fine Native American items and Western Art,
with four double occupancy rooms and two full shared bathrooms available
for guests. We have an inground pool for hot summer days and a
Jacuzzi spa to rejuvenate in after a big day out with the horses.
High speed internet for your personal computer, if you choose to bring
one on your vacation.
Board for your horse
Board for one horse is included. Each horse will have its own
pen or stall, cleaned two times per day, with our feed. We feed
Elk Grove Stable mix pelleted feed and grass or forage mix hay.
Extra horses are an additional $25 per day. Guests are welcome to
come out early in the morning and help with feeding and cleaning.
J-K horses
Don't worry if you don't own a horse...
We have a large variety of levels of horses in our 'herd' to work
and play with, depending on your goals, from young colts to seasoned
ranch and trail horses.
